ABOUT US
OUR PASSION
The one true God came to earth and indwelled a human body (John 1:14), full of grace and truth, yet did not destroy us, and we called him Jesus.
The good news does not stop there. He then made available this indwelling reality of God to be transferred to dwell inside our bodies, living in interactive fellowship with Him, empowering us to live the abundant “with God” life while on the earth (2 Corinthians 4:7). This is the good news. God is the Gospel. Your faith can result in God coming to make his home in you (John 14:23-24). This God is real and can be interacted with now. Receiving God and His eternally abundant life is the good news. He has made available His Spirit to indwell us when we surrender our kingdom to His kingdom. Jesus is about bringing the life of the kingdom of God into our lives and making us a citizen of it.

We are dedicated to spreading the availability of Him as your supreme treasure and pleasure in life, and desire to revive and reclaim the good news that Jesus preached about the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 4:17) and the reality of Christ coming to dwell in you (Colossians 1:27). We hope to create a space where people experience new life, deep connection, character transformation, and making Jesus visible in their body (2 Corinthians 4:11 and Philippians 1:20). God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him.
OUR CULTURE & COMMUNITY
We strive to nurture a vibrant, light-shining faith culture, empowering individuals to live the "with God" life through deep connection, character transformation, and making Jesus visible in our bodies. Together, let's make the invisible kingdom a visible reality. Driven by truth and united around a single mission, The Indwelling is rising to spark a movement of spiritual awakening in Wayne County and beyond. We are not content with a passive faith or quiet religion — we are committed to cultivating deep spiritual growth and elevating the quality of life for every person in our community.
We envision a future where spiritual health becomes the heartbeat of our city — a place marked by joy, integrity, and a people shaped by the servant heart of Jesus. Our aim is nothing less than generational transformation. We are building a movement that will outlive us, a legacy of faith‑filled disciples who carry the presence of Christ into every home, every street, and every corner of this region.

THE STORY BEHIND THE NAME & LOGO
Since Brent’s conversion, he has been passionately focused on the reality that a Holy God would indwell a sinner. This union and reality, once believed, received, integrated into our daily lives, changes everything. As a result, you can live an empowered “with God” life and be transformed. God is the Gospel.
The logo was created based on 2 Corinthians 4:7, and reveals the reality that we have King Jesus (crown) as our treasure (diamond) dwelling in our broken body/vessel (jar of clay). This biblical metaphor represents our bodies as fragile “jars of clay” that hold a divine treasure of God Himself, the gospel, demonstrating the immense power that comes from God, and not from us. It highlights that despite the suffering, affliction, and temporary nature of the jar, God’s light and life shine forth, showing his power in and through us both now and for eternity.
For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. 2 Corinthians 4:6-7

John 14:20 "In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you."
John 17:10 All mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I am glorified in them.
John 17:20 “I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, 21 that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, 23 I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. 24 Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world. 25 O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me. 26 I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.”
